UAW workers strike GM; talks to resume Tuesday
Hours into the first national strike against General Motors Corp. in nearly 40 years, representatives from GM and the United auto workers were back at the bargaining table until 8 p.m. tonight, even as UAW workers were settling into mostly peaceful picket-line duty outside GM facilities. Talks were to resume Tuesday
