Pawlenty promises job search aid to timber industry workers
Laid-off timber industry workers in northern Minnesota will be in line for dislocated worker aid from the state that includes job training, career counseling and resume help, Gov. Tim Pawlenty said Friday. Ainsworth Lumber Co. last week announced plans to close operations in Grand Rapids and Cook until market conditions improve. The layoffs hit a total of 300 workers.
